💕 Meet Gemma & Her Lucky 7 💕
Gemma and her seven puppies were found as strays and taken to a North Carolina county shelter. Unfortunately, all seven puppies had contracted ringworm—an easily treatable skin infection that just needs time and care to heal.
Because treatment can take several weeks and county shelters often don’t have the resources for that kind of medical care, Gemma and her babies were placed on the euthanasia list. 💔
Thankfully, a kindhearted transporter named Ken, who regularly helps move dogs from Davidson County to rescues, reached out to us. He said Gemma was one of the sweetest dogs he’d ever met and begged to give this little family a fighting chance. We couldn’t say no.
Within days, Ken delivered Gemma and her pups safely to Paws Place—and he and his wife even made a generous donation to help with their care. 💚
The family has now seen our vet and begun treatment. They’re not quite ready for adoption yet, but keep an eye on our website and social media for updates and names soon!
